Mobile devices are taking the world by storm. In Africa access to desktop computers is limited, but more and more people access the internet via mobile devices.
In close cooperation with Saldanha Bay Municipality HSH developed the “myCivicCentre” mobile web app, aiming at connecting citizens with government and improving the municipality’s service delivery.
Via their smart phones the App provides members of the public with ‘anytime – anywhere’ access to municipal services and up-to-date information.
Further, the App enhances the transition from paper-based to electronic processes, reducing visitor numbers at the municipality and saving on administration costs.
